Suckers pay full price. But
lovers give all. It would be a

***

I want the last word.
But that means I would have to
speak to you again.

***

Love may bloom and fade
But stores keep selling roses
And chocolate hearts

Four and Twenty

Declaration Editing & Design is accepting submissions for the April 2010 issue of Four and Twenty, our short form poetry journal.

All submissions for the April issue must be received by February 28, 2010.

The guidelines are simple. All poems must be four lines or fewer in length and contain no more than twenty words (hence, Four and Twenty). All submissions are judged on the ability to create a vivid picture, evoke an emotional response, and use creative wordplay. All poetic forms that fit the journal’s guidelines (such as haiku, senryu, sapphic, and tanaga) are welcome, but authors are not limited to these forms. There is no set theme for the journal. A new issue of the journal is released the third Tuesday of each month.

For a full description of our submission guidelines, including author rights and permissions, please visit www.4and20poetry.com.
